Incentives Inspire Creativity in Sante Fe September 03, 2008 Bishop's Lodge Ranch Resort & Spa launches group art workshop
By Jeanie Casison
Innovation can begin simply with unleashing the inner artist in your employees. The Bishop's Lodge Ranch Resort & Spa in Santa Fe, New Mexico recently introduced a three-hour self-portrait workshop, designed to develop intuition, team-building, communication and leadership in a group setting.
Taught by award-winning artist Amy Stein, the workshop has already been presented for the Vanderbilt business school, and targets business groups—incentive participants included. "All portraits are self-portraits, whether intended or not," says Stein in a statement. "Through this process you can learn to be a more creative person in many areas of your life—professional and personal."
Art workshops are among the many team-building activities available at Bishop's Lodge Ranch Resort & Spa. Other bonding experiences that an incentive planner can incorporate into a program are a rodeo round-up, horse-handling training and a chili cook-off. The resort, minutes from downtown Sante Fe, also features luxurious villas ideal for VIPs, SháNah Spa and horseback riding.
